It all starts with you.

You don't have to be a city official to make a positive change in your community. Anyone can do it. Our events get teachers, students, parents, and friends together to learn about service and make a difference beautifying cities, helping those less fortunate, and promoting the idea of giving. What can you do? Tell us who you are, and we'll help you get in the game. Learn how you can help give youth a voice and a choice for service, to help change the world for the better. |
The LEAGUE's boosters
From schoolyard to backyard, our guidance and support leaves a lasting impression on our children. Join in on The LEAGUE events to chaperone, take photos, or cheer shamelessly. Our involvement will only strengthen our children’s tie to service.

The LEAGUE's MVPs
We are inspiration leaders, and are vital to the success of The LEAGUE's mission of bringing service into a young person's life. Help us move a student, a classroom, a school, an entire community into action.

The LEAGUE's players
The more good we do, the more rewarding it gets for us, our friends, and our teachers. Imagine seeing your ideas come to life right in your neighborhood. That's my favorite part. How many points will you get? How many classmates will you bring together? See how fun it can be. Tell your teacher all about The LEAGUE.

Our partners
Are you a community organization? You know what communities actually need, and you're doing it every day in heroic ways. There are already many young people engaged in your community (and the credit goes to other organizations, too many to name), perhaps some of those youth are involved with you. As The LEAGUE works with many other terrific groups to keep increasing that number, a key question looms. How can students volunteering or working with a community agency be a great experience for the agency and the student? If it isn't great for both, we miss a big opportunity.
There may be specific connections this year. For example, a teacher/coach may reach out on behalf of a class to a food bank or soup kitchen for The Drive and find out in advance what kind of items are most needed as donations. Similarly, schools will look for partners for King Day, Valentine's Day projects (places to deliver handmade greeting cards and do art performances), Earth Day (beautification projects, etc.) and more.
If you are a youth organization, there are already many lessons you can use free at www.learningtogive.org with your youth.
In the short term (this year), the goal is simply to have you be in the loop, so you are in on things from the beginning of The LEAGUE. If you opt to signup, you would get the e-newsletter. You can also keep an eye in the media for the effort. Again, we are not creating "doing good" it is already going on in great numbers thanks to others and keeps growing! In the long term (future years), schools may invite the community organizations they work with regularly to designate their "coach"-at least one person in the agency who is the point person on working with the schools and using their creativity to make sure the experience is positive for everyone involved. Community groups will also be invited to participate in future "Training Camps" where you can participate in a black-belt type training system of levels with the school "coaches" on how to channel idealism and energy into making the most difference for our communities and the causes we care about. These will be largely free online and, at cost, for offline trainings when they develop.

You support your teachers. Your teachers motivate your kids. And your kids make it happen. That's teamwork. Using teacher-friendly lessons that are free and accessible, your teachers not only prepare students for The LEAGUE events that build skills of leadership and good character, but also meet specific academic standards. So help us take action. You have everything to gain. Help get your school in the game of "doing good". Anyone who does good in their community is a real winner.
Support The LEAGUE
In his famous "Hierarchy of Needs", the great humanist Maslow observed that, after a person had secured his or her own survival, and emotional and artistic needs were met, the only remaining need was to help others. By supporting The LEAGUE, youth throughout the world have the opportunity to engage in both learning and doing for the betterment of the community. Your donation provides schools, students, and teachers with the resources needed to become active and engaged.
