One Day

September 17 - October 8

Event Focus
How will you serve? It's up to you and your students. One Day is a "servathon" where students put together a service project in their community, and sign up friends and family to sponsor them in advance. They create their very own service project (typically 3-4 hours) and visit seniors, tutor peers, clean up neighborhoods—the project can be just about any service activity. That means they'll experience the satisfaction of contributing while raising donations to help

Scoring

Points are based on the hours spent volunteering and the amount of money collected.

  • $1 raised = 1 point
  • 1 hour = 7 points
  • 1 lb of food = 1.5 points

* Approximates federal minimum wage
