You Play - You Score for Your Community
How do we prove to young people that what they do counts? Well, we count it. Students earn points by participating in events and service projects. Points represent how much value they are giving back to the community. They are also a perfect way for students to see how they’re doing in LEAGUE events compared to their friends or other schools.
How are points decided?
Points are measured by “time” and “treasure.” Time refers to each hour of volunteer service a student performs. (1 hour = 7 points) Treasure refers to the dollar amount raised for an organization or the dollar value of items collected in a drive. ($1 = 1 point or 1 pound of food = $1.50, and $1.50 = 1.5 points). So when you see a class has earned 412 points, you know they have contributed $412 of value to their community and the total world score of The LEAGUE.
